junior Seau at one of his games (source :fox51.com) |
More and more talented players of any kind of sports are being announced dead everyday this really is a set back for the teams and very hard for the families. Junior Seau was found dead on Wednesday at his home with a gunshot wound in his chest. The police believe that was a suicide because they found a gun next to his body and it had his finger prints all over it. His ex-wife told the media that he sent different messages to his kids telling them that he loved them somehow this was an indication of what he was planning to do. We might not know why he did what he did but i dont think we have the right to be judgemental. There are some comments about this matter that are not so nice at all. We know that he was a public figure ,to some even a role model but after he all he was human. People go through difficult times in life how we deal with situations differ a lot. I don't understand how some people can be so insensetive to such isssues, just because he had money and was famous it does not mean that he had no problems .The only sensable thing people can do in such issues is to embrace his memory not to be judgemental and keep asking question that only him can answer. What they are doing is not fair to his family and those who are very close to him.

Alexandra Dale Oen celebrating his win (source: m.cfv.ca) |
Alexandra Dale Oen was a gold medal swimming favorite. He was found dead in Arizona which was a place where he was training for the London olympics. The course of his death was cardiac arrest which results in a heart attack. His story was handled in a more sensable manner.which makes me wonder about the way media handled stories differently. Was it because the maedia knows the reason why Alexandra has passed away .So they sympathies with him, but with Junior it was a different matter which i ask myself why.
I believe that all sports organisations have trained counsellors where sportplayers can go and bottle out everything that may be troubling them.So its such a dissapointment that some of sportplayers do not use that platform in a good way.
ReplyDeletei am too, maybe if he said something to someone ,maybe that could have helped in a way.
Deletein this world there is no permenant thing. we cannot escape for this, God place it for the reason.
ReplyDeletewhat has our world become of?people just kill themselves with no valid reason and thats sad
ReplyDeleteI read the story about Alexandra Dale Oen that he died because of depression. Depression, no matter what its cause, it is still one of those things that is eminently treatable. Hopefully Seau’s story will help encourage others to seek out treatment for their own depression. Before it becomes too late.
ReplyDeleteIt is really sad that we are loosing role models, friends and family members each and everyday, but one thing that I believe is that God knows it all and if its about time that he wants us then no one can change that.
ReplyDeletei agree with lucky but i ask myself really that was he really under-pressure of the training or was there something wrong with him(did he have any illness) may he soul rest in peace
ReplyDeleteOnly God knows why he did what he did hey... may his soul R.I.P such a sad story... we want life and he took his life...#shocked
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate what is happening to these people, i just hope their families and team mates find closure.
ReplyDeleteNo one has the right to judge any one and at the end of the day everyone has problems regardless of proffesions they may be holding.
ReplyDeletewe can not keep judging people while we do not know the reasons behind their actions
DeletePeople are dying everywhere, the world is coming to an end I tell you.
ReplyDeletehope it does not come to that
DeleteI don't believe that suicide is a solution to anything. Who says life will be better after you take your life away?
ReplyDeleteits not a solution to any problem but i guess we will never know why he did what he did
