In any sport the participants face challenges in achieving their goals. This can also happend in an organisation or our everyday life but the trick is to know our objectives and do all we can do achieve them.
Rowers come across the following challenges in each game.
- Their senses are not in control
- It becomes difficult to hear
- Their vision goes out of synch
This usually happens at the end of the game said olympic legend Mattew Pinsent who retired after winning the last four gold medals for Great Britain at the Anthens Games in 2004.It is inspiring to know that they work as a team. Rowers face difficulties at the end of a game but they stay focused. The reason being that they need to achieve their goal and sustain a good image for their team.
As public relations practitioners our job is to change perceptions about our organisations and sustain a good image. It might not be easy to achieve our goals in our organisations but that does not mean we should give up. In any project we are working on we should expect certain challenges because these challenges help us to grow as an organisation , also finding ways to prevent them from happening in the future.

DeleteRowering looks like a challenging activity indeed but in everything that has to an "A" success there must be a lot of dedication and challenges along the way.
ReplyDeleteRowing seems like a difficult sport, You need a lot of energy when rowing. But then it's good to know that people take the sport seriously and the South African team even won a gold medal at the olympics...now that was fun to wacth. It just proves that people who take up this sport really love it and believe in it and in themselves.
ReplyDeleteim very proud of the South African team too.yeah it does prove that there are people who take this sport seriously.
DeleteAny sport is a tool for forging team spirit and new friendships; You usually play sports with communities, friends or your own teammate, overtime, you learn to trust each and depend on each other for assistance to achieve goals needed in sports. The achievements also indirectly forge new team spirit within yourslef and your sports mates when you start celebrating the win or console each other with the defeat. Still with every win or lose, the friendship strengthen as you understood how much it is when you have people surrounding you and whom have the same goal as you. Rowing is a low impact activity with movement only in defined ranges, so twist and sprain injuries are rare... I would really love to know how to play it...
